Sore Thumbs: Cut Scene

This could prove to be a very interesting project. Wait, that's what I was thinking about Project P...plus you are going to add a "real" podcast to go along with it? Shoe is trying to consume our lives.

Gave you a quickie shout out on G4. Best of luck!

Is this separate project going to tie into Project P?
  • Shoe · 10 months ago
    Not really...nope!
  • Snesboy · 10 months ago
At the end of the video "You're wasting internet bandwidth." Hilarious!

The "Cut Scene" site is a pile of fail. Instead of any videos I just get a "Get ADOBE(r) FLASH(r) PLAYER" even though I have the latest version installed. And I'm leaving a comment here, because apparently you need some login to do it there. So double-fail on that.

you're blowin' up bigger than that cat! (seriously you should put that thing on a diet)
  • borrowedchief · 10 months ago
    Ur fucking it up!!!!

OMG that was great. I think this is a great idea. Wish I had an I Phone, but I will watch on the web . Keep up the good work guys : )

This looks like a great show Shoe and Raychul! With most gaming podcasts/vidcasts being more focused on a lot of the "hard core" audience, this looks like it can appeal to a lot of couples as well. The "What They Play" podcast focusing on families and what they are playing, this looks like the next logical move.

I sent Nick an email, hopefully we can help with the technical problems.
  • Terry · 10 months ago
Nice presentation, its aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Oh and, Kitty!
  • MCBAIN · 10 months ago
Well, I was waiting for a good reason to buy an iPhone. There you go.
  • digipen89 · 10 months ago
I'm actually looking forward to this, keep us updated Shoe! Also, behind Raychul to the left is that a pink squid with Raychul's face on it? Confused the hell outta me.
  • Cody W. · 10 months ago
Just watched it yesterday, very nice! Can't wait to see what you two do with this. Oh, and I gotta say, that's a pretty slick web layout.
  • CrispinB · 10 months ago
Awesome! But why not make this an exclusive Game.comcast?
  • digipen89 · 10 months ago
    The resolution would be next-gen.

Project P? I wonder if that stands for project profit? Anyway, if you guys are building some kind of game website similar to 1up, I wonder how 1up will do? You'd be essentially taking everything that made the old network what it was before the UGO buyt out nd pitting it against its old self. Pretty crazy if thats the case.

About the possible podcast, Robert Ashley's "A life well wasted" is the best video game podcast I believe I've ever heard. It's not just four guys sitting around in a room shooting the shit, its journalism through and though. I was really impressed by it, and am looking forward to the next one. What tone do you guys plan to hit with this start up website your going to do? Can you disclose that kind of information?
  • Brian · 10 months ago
Meh, I don't want game journalism to be like the mainstream media. They're all about sensationalism; there is rarely anything of substance.
  • SeaNs · 10 months ago
This reminded me a lot of "what they play" From XLive. Only better because sexy lady + Slightly fat kitty = Solid gold... Or maybe platinum.. if that's better.

Oh and Dan Hsu being there was cool too.. But honestly, Pretty girl + Pretty kitty, that's kinda all I need ;)

You and Raychul have great chemistry, and including the bloopers was a nice touch. I laughed every couple of seconds or so. G'luck with Project P!
  • ATC_1982 · 10 months ago
Nice , but I think I am the only american that does not own an iphone or ipod. But my wife and daughters have 3 ipods between them and wife is about to upgrade to an itouch.
  • Cody · 10 months ago
    Cool.

Plus a question to Crispin. Don't know if you could answer this. But the new episode of Broken Pixels that was put up, a lot of people want to know if it is the last episode or if there will be more?
  • CrispinB · 10 months ago
That was an episode we shot for the new season, so I'm assuming more are coming. Oh, and tell your grandmother to bring the car around.
  • Cody · 10 months ago
    Cool.

Everybody was loving the Bring the Car around at the end.
  • MOT · 10 months ago
Why no love for us PC dudes? Do you intend to monetize it on iPhone/iPod Touch and that's why?
  • Shoe · 10 months ago
Honestly, we're both not huge PC gamers...that's really the only reason. It's just not our specialty. I LOVE PC games...I just can't seem to find the time for them. Last one I played at length was Spore.
  • Mike · 10 months ago
This video is awesome. You two are like Jon & Kate Plus 8, minus the "8." ...I am SO lame for referencing that show. =/
  • Brian · 10 months ago
Was Raychul on a show before? She looks familiar, but I have no idea who she is.
  • Shoe · 10 months ago
She's been on some videos before...on PlayStation Underground for E3 one year (as one of the group of gamers who got a chance to go to the show), and she's done some video hosting work for GamePro. Here's one of my fave vids of her:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poNkDDnTkyA.

Also, if you read this blog regularly, I might've mentioned her once or twice. :) I posted a picture of the two of us inside the Resistance 2 box art.

where's the iTunes link you said there was a subscribe. if i didn't see it sorry
  • Shoe · 10 months ago
Oh...it hasn't formally launched yet. Check back Feb. 14! But I don't think it's a normal video podcast. The video will be featured within a new iPhone/iPod Touch app that GCHD is designing....so I think you have to look for that rather than subscribing to a podcast.
